Sophie Turner shared the depth of her friendship with Taylor Swift in a recent interview with British Vogue. The Game of Thrones star revealed how the singer rode in like a "hero" during the turmoil of her divorce. “I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her,” she said. Turner recounted the moment she turned to Swift for help when she found herself stranded in New York City in September 2023.

The Dark Phoenix actress sought Swift's help to find a place to live for herself and her daughters. Turner revealed that the 'Cruel Summer' singer generously offered her a free stay at her New York City residence. According to the report, Turner had hesitated to build a friendship with Swift due to the singer's previous romantic involvement with a member of the Jonas Brothers band. However, things changed after the British actress separated from Jonas.

Many people might not realize, however, that both Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner have admired each other since long ago.

Taylor Swift has always been open about her admiration for the fantasy saga, Game of Thrones. She has shared in several interviews how the characters from the show have played a significant role in inspiring her. One character she singled out for their strength was Sansa Stark, brought to life by Sophie Turner, who she saw as a symbol of empowerment for women. Similarly, Turner herself has expressed her admiration for the pop star on numerous occasions as well.

Following the release of the song 'Mr. Perfectly Fine', the actress shared it on her Instagram and captioned it with, "It's not NOT a bop," while tagging Swift. The pop star responded by commenting, "Forever bending the knee to the 👑 of the north," expressing her admiration for Turner's acting prowess in the series. This exchange made it clear that their friendship did not happen overnight.
