However, there are certain icons whose footprints simply cannot be erased, even despite them consciously trying to do so, and Rihanna happens to be the best example of this case. Despite her extended hiatus, fans are willing to take anything she throws their way, even a The Smurfs trailer.

Billboard's biggest of the preceding decade, Rihanna, for the past few years, has been toying with her fame, sometimes engaging with it while other times hiding in her million-dollar cocoons. Always elevating her makeup empire, Fenty Beauty, the pop star will now be seen as Smurfette at the trailer unveiling of The Smurfs at the Super Bowl as revealed by Deadline.

It was revealed in April of last year that Rihanna will be taking on the role of the coy Smurfette in the upcoming animated movie The Smurfs. With the trailer finally being unveiled at the Super Bowl on February 9, things have come a full circle for Rihanna fans.

Excited to hear the singer, even if that means under the guise of a cute blue smurf, fans have taken to X in celebration.
