Taylor Swift has always been a girl’s girl. While a good deal may assume her global superstardom translates to interstellar ego, humility is what defines Swift more than anything else. Whether one asks Blake Lively or Sabrina Carpenter, either will engage in similar chants. But this time, it is none of them, but another Tinseltown icon, Cara Delevingne.

Fans may be well aware of Swift’s friendship with Delevingne, but the actor recently spilled some beans from when she lived with the Eras maker, revealing a lesser-known chapter of their bond with heartfelt gratitude. 

In a conversation with Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine, Cara Delevingne discussed the former’s hosting work for Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady when the roasting of Taylor Swift came up. Although Glaser was not exactly prepared for what Delevingne was about to reveal, it turns out even her fans were not. Reflecting on the time Swift invited her to become her roomie when Delevingne was undergoing a breakup, the actor admitted she could “definitely roast her,” having already lived with her.

Describing Swift as different and “homely,” Delevingne added, how she actually took the pop star for a bit of a “wild ride.” Delevingne admitted that she was likely the mastermind roping Swift into all their hilarious escapades, though she kept the details under wraps. She did, however, make a point to remind Glaser that Swift is one of the funniest people she has ever known who is bold enough to deliver a wedding speech doubled as a roast.

What she meant was while roasting Swift is easy, she is just as capable of leaving the roasters in tears. It is easy to see where Delevingne is coming from, especially since even during her jam-packed Eras Tour schedule, Swift made time to show up for her.

After concluding the Madrid leg of her Eras Tour in Spain, Taylor Swift was gearing up to head to Lyon, France. But making the most of the short gap between the Eras stops, the singer flew to London to attend Cara Delevingne’s play Cabaret on Friday. An official from the venue, Arthur Jones, confirmed Swift’s presence at the stage show.

At first, Swifties were merely speculating about the self-made billionaire’s attendance at the West End production at the KitKat Club. When a fan tweeted to seek confirmation, Jones responded, “can confirm. a special night.” While the world continues to speculate why even A-listers cannot resist rooting for Swift, now the evidence speaks for itself.
