French luxury fashion house Balenciaga had long had its association with Kanye West. Taking to showcasing their curated designs, running campaigns, and shows, Ye became the face of the brand as its ambassador in and since 2014 until the company severed its ties with the rapper back in 2022. Now, taking to her Instagram stories, his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, revealed herself as the sole new ambassador of Balenciaga.

During her ex-husband’s association with the luxe fashion wear brand, the socialite, owing to her deep inclination to the craft, had also taken to shows and campaigns for the company like accompanying its creative director, Demna to the 2021 Met Gala and wearing custom Balenciaga stands as highlights. However, she can now exercise those roles in full capacity. She re-shared the company’s statement that read and pledged on “mutual trust and a commitment”.

Notably, in 2022, Balenciaga’s parent company Kering confirmed the end of its professional relationship with West. The rapper had taken an active interest in promoting the brand and wore it almost exclusively while pairing it with his Yeezy footwear. At the peak of his controversial remarks, the fashion wear became the first among many to pull Ye out of its campaigns.

In the meantime, the formerly married couple recently linked up for a brief moment of co-parenting.
