Anthony Madler is finally receiving his crime drama movie’s global release exclusively on Netflix soon enough, after three years since he has first premiered it at the Sundance Film Festival. So here is what we know about Monster so far including its plot, cast, and more down below.

This upcoming crime based on the adapted screenplay by Radha Blank, Cole Whiley, and Janece Shaffer. Monster is an upcoming Netflix Original crime drama movie directed by Anthony Madler. The original title of the movie was ‘All Rise’ until Netflix has acquired the distribution right of it and changed it as Monster as the same title of the novel by Walter Dean Myers that it has been adapted from. And the upcoming crime drama is being waited eagerly to be streamed already, especially after the Black Lives Matter movement in the USA.

Steve Harmon is a smart and charming 17-year-old film student who is about to see his own life turned upside down when he’s charged with murder. The movie follows his dramatic story as he gets unjustly accused and battles against legal to clear his name.

The film first premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2018. Later in April 2019, it was announced that Entertainment Studios had acquired distribution rights to the film, retitled All Rise before Netflix has acquired its distribution rights in November 2020, and once again called the film ‘Monster.

Monster is scheduled to be released globally on Netflix on May 7, 2021.
