Mike Flanagan’s the Fall of the House of Usher Cast Announced by Netflix

Mike Flanagan, the creator of Netflix’s The Haunting Of Hill House is now back with Netflix’s limited series The Fall of the House of Usher. The Fall of the House of Usher is supernatural thriller limited series inspired by the best works of Edgar Poe Allan. Flanagan tweeted on Twitter a few days ago about the show, which describes as “This miniseries is a modern remix of some of the most iconic works of Edgar Allan Poe. To tell this epic tale of greed, horror, and tragedy, we have assembled the largest ensemble cast in the history of Intrepid Pictures.”

The Fall of the House of Usher explores themes like madness, family, isolation, and identity. Mike Flanagan has explored all the themes in his previous works.

All about the cast

The limited series consists of eight episodes, with Flanagan and Michael Fimognari set to direct four episodes each. According to Deadline, Mike Flanagan has recently announced that he is adding 21 new characters to the cast. The cast includes Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney, Jayr Tinaco, and Robert Longstreet.

The cast already features some big names from the industry, including Frank Langella, Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, and Carl Lumbly. Roderick Usher will be the lead character, “towering patriarch of the Usher dynasty”. Frank Langella will play the character of Roderick Usher. Langella will be joined by Carla Gugino, who previously worked in The Haunting Of Hill House and The Haunting Of Bly Manor. Mark Hamil from Star Wars will play a character which in the shadows most of the time. Mary McDonnell will play the character of Roderick’s twin sister, Madeline Usher, and Carl Lumbly will play the role of investigator C. Auguste Dupin.

Mike Flanagan’s limited series The Fall of the House of Usher has started its filming on January 31st, 2022. The filming has begun in Canada and hopefully ends in May 2022. The actors from the show have posted on their social media platforms about the filming of the limited series

When is the Netflix release date of The Fall of the House of Usher?

 As the filming and production will continue until May 2022, it is unlikely to see Mike Flanagan’s series in 2020. We are hoping The Fall of the House of Usher will release on Netflix at the beginning of 2023.
