The entire world is now aware of some character named Eddie Munson who died the death of a hero, saving humanity from Vecna’s curse. A freak and a Metalhead who did not just redeem himself but also proved to be the best guitarist in the history of the world. Fans had the privilege of having the most metal concert of their life just before the demo bats poisoned him. In the season finale, Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) slammed out Master of Puppets by Metallica on his guitar and owned the show.

And well, “Master of puppets I’m pulling your strings/Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams,” isn’t just a Metallica song anymore! Every time one hears these tunes, it’s Stranger Things’ Eddie Munson that probably comes to their mind. From head to toe. Seemingly Joseph Quinn’s performance absolutely entranced the 80s band Metallica. The band still continues to show love for this character.

The song has seen a surge in streams since its Stranger Things inclusion, which featured additional guitar parts from Robert Trujillo’s son, Tye. It was first released in 1986. But after its newfound popularity, Master of Puppets debuted at Number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and Number 26 on the UK Top 100 Singles Chart.
