Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania saw Dr. Hank Pym, Ant-Man/Scott Lang, Hope van Dyne/Wasp, Janet van Dyne, and Cassie’s latest adventure propel them to an un/familiar place, i.e. the Quantum Realm. This justifiable and digestible CGI fest kicked off Marvel Phase 5, i.e. the second set of Multiverse Saga. It marked the introduction of Kang The Conqueror courtesy of a powerful performance from Jonathan Majors, who had to carry the film, and both the credits scenes. Kang received able support from pivotal characters in making his mark as an unconquerable conqueror. If one variant needed an army… Things are looking pretty bleak for the Avengers

Based on the article title, anyone opting to read this may have watched the movie. If not, they may be fine with coming across a spoiler. Perhaps they saw the words CGI fest and opted to not enter the cinemas. Whatever the reason for opening this article, be warned that there are spoilers ahead

The ending saw Cassie (Kathryn Newton) summon the inhabitants of the Quantum Realm to attack Kang The Conqueror as one. They won the battle with a timely assist from Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and his ants. Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) then repaired the Multiversal Power Core and allowed the group to have a shot at returning to Earth.

Hope, Cassie, Hank, and Janet went through the portal. However, Kang stopped Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) from entering, fought him, and gained the upper hand.

How did Scott (Ant-Man) beat Kang The Conqueror?

Ant-Man seemed done for once Kang The Conqueror was through with him. However, Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) showed up in the nick of time and fired blasters at Kang. She teamed up with Ant-Man and pushed Kang onto the device that sucked him in whole.

It would be fair to say that when all hope was lost, it was Hope who saved the day. Although Hope saved Ant-Man, the duo was still stuck in the Quantum Realm.

How did Wasp and Ant-Man escape the Quantum Realm?

Cassie’s invention saw the group get sucked into the Quantum Realm in the first act. Using the knowledge that her invention was successful, she reset it to open a portal between San Francisco and the “reality where all concepts of time and space become irrelevant.”

This allowed Ant-Man and Wasp to return to Earth and not endure a fate similar to Kang The Conqueror and Janet.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania- Mid Credits Scene

The mid-credits scene was set in a large arena, with three other characters that looked like the vanquished Kang The Conqueror. Their words implied that the Kang variant from the Quantum Realm was finished. Hence, it would be safe for audiences to assume that Ant-Man and Wasp killed “the exiled” Kang The Conqueror. While one question was solved, there were other queries that emerged.

Who were the three Kang Variants in Ant-Man 3?

There were three main Kang Variants that showed up during the mid-credits scene at the arena. They were Immortus, Rama-Tut, and Scarlet Centurion. These names aren’t confirmed by the characters on screen, but based on the audience’s knowledge of the comics, it seems likely.

Further light would be shed on this over Phase 5, with the pieces probably coming together in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

What was the purpose behind summoning all the Kang variants?

The Kang variants received the news that one of them was beaten. They realized the need to stop anyone from punching holes in the multiverse. To achieve their objective, the Kang leaders called the Kangs on and on across the multiverse.

This would probably lead to the Avengers looking to do the same, with each one of them aiming to ensure “Nothing’s gonna change my world.” It is going to be a battle across the Multiverse. Will these powerful beings crush everyone like beetles?

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania- End Credits Scene

Kang appeared in the end credits scene as well, but this seemed to be from the past where/when a beloved MCU character spotted him. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius (Owen Wilson) were among the audience watching Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors) announce his discovery to the hall. ‘The God of Mischief’ seemed shocked, with a look of panic taking center stage.

What did Loki say about the Kang Variant of Victor Timely?

Loki turned to Mobius and said, “It’s him!” However, his words didn’t seem to have the desired impact as an amused Mobius replied, “You made him sound like this terrifying figure!”

Loki then replied, “He is.”

When will this scene come to fruition?

As a Kang Variant has already crossed paths with Loki, expect the story to proceed with the upcoming season of Loki. It would not be remiss to label the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania end credits scene as an unofficial teaser trailer for Loki Season 2
