Is Man of Steel 2 canceled? Henry Cavill not only brought back the iconic Superman character, but he also led to the massive success of his own career along with WB by starring in the 2013 movie. While Cavill is already known for his track of fantasy roles, this one project is what gave him entry as a lead character onto the big screen.

Cavill also disheartened fans recently by announcing his exit from The Witcher, but his return as Superman was to balance that news. But there are still questions about the confirmation of the movie. Is WB planning to cancel the movie before even starting it? That is a question.

Making comic-based Superhero movies in no child’s play. Multi-million movie projects have a massive scale and are therefore prone to shut down because of legal issues, management takeover, or finances. But Man of Steel 2‘s future could be a serious worry for both Henry Cavill and his fans. As per a source, there were leaked reports of Warner Bros going through some major changes to reshape the company’s future to stand against competitors like Marvel. Superman has existed since 1933 when Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster first created the character.

Several movies and series have been made based on the character so far, and will probably continue in the future. But with Black Adam‘s failure, there is a concern about whether WB will go ahead with their mega project of bringing Superman back. So far Cavill has been dropping little hints of his return for the last couple of months, but never gave an official confirmation.

Once a movie is announced, a cancellation will not look good for a company like DC. However, there are reports of Charles Roven being selected to produce Man of Steel 2. There are also rumors of DC having a backup Superman and considering a hard reset of the DCEU. While much is not known about the project yet, one thing is clear: the project is still in its infancy.
