Maitreyi Ramakrishnan Set to Make a Return With ‘Never Have I Ever’- Season 3, Checkout New Stills and Details Here

In the army of Netflix’s teen drama shows, Never Have I Ever is a popular name. Unlike other teen shows on Netflix which have full-length episodes, this show has small episodes spanning 30 mins at the max which makes the show easily bingeable and acts as a contributing factor to its popularity. Apart from that, Never Have I Ever was a representation of the struggles minorities go through as school-going kids, making it important in terms of awareness and relativity.

Never Have I Ever – release date and new stills

Fans of the show already know Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is one person the show can’t run without. She plays the vivacious lead, who goes in and out of dilemmas relating to her acceptance of the self.

The release date for Season 3 of the show is the 12th of August, 2022 and the new stills of Season 3 are the perfect promotion; for its bright colors are enough to lure not only the fans but anybody who hasn’t watched any of the show.

The stills clear out certain things expected from the third season. It looks no different than the previous two because Devi isn’t seen doing anything new. She still seems like she can’t decide between her two loves: Ben and Paxton.

Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fischer, Never Have I Ever is a reflection of Mindy’s experiences as a minority Indian girl in America.

The story and its expectations

The story revolves around Devi, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, an Indian girl, and her friends from other minorities. Devi is seen torn between her eccentric roots and the modern reality of a US school.

At the end of Season 2, Devi got a happy ending. She finally was able to choose her long-time crush Paxton over Ben, who she really liked for his humbleness. Season 3 is going to explore more of the same love triangle.

  • There will be more on Devi’s Indian cousin Kamala, who is slowly growing out of her beliefs on arrange marriage.

  • Fans also saw Devi’s mom Dr. Nalini, trying to find a forever home in India; after her husband’s death has left her feeling lonely in the States.

Her storyline also dabbled in the idea of falling in love again and it’s a possibility for season 3, to show her exploring love, this time freely.
