Lupin Became The Latest Netflix International Hit Series

Netflix’s original French series “Lupin” became the latest international hit and estimated possible views for the series are really high!

Lupin has just started to broadcast last Friday and already reached number 1 in Netflix’s top lists of many countries’ such as Turkey, Brazil, Vietnam, Argentina, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and more.

Lupin is a mystery thriller television series and consists of 10 episodes, released in two parts. French television series created by George Kay and François Uzan and premiered on Netflix on 8 January 2021. The lead character Assane Diop is a man who is inspired by Arsène Lupin created by Maurice Leblanc. The role of Assane is played by the show stars Omar Sy. The first part of the series is directed by Louis Leterrier, known for films such as “The Transporter”, “The Incredible Hulk” and “Now You See Me”.

According to the data shared by Netflix, “Lupin”, which is predicted to reach 70 million households at the end of the first month. Lupin surpassed its competitors “The Queen’s Gambit” and “Bridgerton” with the viewing figures.  Starring Omar Sy, known for films such as “Intouchables”, “Jurassic World”, “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, Lupin was met with great interest by the audience. After all that success, Omar thanked his fans and all the audience with his tweet.

Lupin is about a thief named Assane Diop, inspired by one of the most popular characters in French literature, Arsène Lupin.

Assane Diop is a middle-aged man who, at first glance, appears to be an ordinary person, working temporary jobs. But actually, he is incredibly talented in disguise and robbery. Assane, a French of Senegalese origin, devotes the remaining time of his incredible robberies to his ex-wife, with whom he is still friends and his son. He somehow stole a precious necklace from the Louvre Museum in Paris. Rubbery he made takes him to the tragic incident of his father. His father was falsely accused of stealing the necklace 25 years ago and later committed suicide in prison. Assane will hunt down the real criminals and avenge his father. Here, a fast-paced, exciting, and innovative perspective is presented to the audience in this series, where we watch the modernized version of a classic character Arsène Lupin.
