Stephen is the newest and probably the addition to the Peaky Blinders cast. His first appearance on the show was in the third episode. Stephen plays Hayden Stagg, the union head at one of Shelby company’s warehouses, who starts selling their opium.
While talking about the show and how it was shooting with Tommy Shelby, i.e., Cillian Murphy himself said that Stephen could not believe that he was with Cillian while a rehearsal was going on.
“I had to pinch myself a couple of times because I was sat there in a scene with him,” the actor said.
The actor commemorated Cillian for being a great actor and an equally gently human being. “He’s just an absolutely lovely fella and a phenomenal actor,” Stephen added while talking about Cillian.

Hayden Stagg was introduced in episode three when Arthur goes to give him an old-fashioned Peaky Blinder beating. But Hayden turns out to be a man with a way around words. He sorts of manipulates Arthur into letting him go.
And in newly released pictures for the next week’s episode four, we see Tommy paying a personal visit to Hayden! Yes, we will finally see them together at last.
