After the heated Love is Blind Reunion that had Shake picking fights with everyone from the hosts to Shayne and randomly confessing his attraction to Vanessa Lachey, he posted an Instagram video apologizing to Deepti Vempati on Wednesday. Deepti and Abhishek Shake Chatterjee forged a bond on the pod dating show, Love is Blind due to their shared culture and values. 

The DJ went out of line when he asked her about her weight indirectly on their first date. Other than passing insulting remarks on Deepti, he even called her aunty. All this led to Deepti leaving him at the altar.  When he was put on the hot seat for his remarks, he blatantly said love was never truly blind for him. Later, Deepti’s brother and his partner blasted the vet on Instagram. 

“‘Shake’, bruh, you’re a loser. You made these statements knowing your own mom would one day watch it; my parents and my entire family had to sit through you talking behind my sister’s back about insecurities she fought her entire life.” 

“We welcomed you into our home, and you saw it as an opportunity for clout; so forgive me if I’m not sympathetic towards you and the hate you’re receiving.”

Shake regarded Deepti as his best friend while filming Love is Blind

The vet revealed that he is deeply sorry for hurting his best friend. He enjoyed every second of their friendship and didn’t want it to end, but his actions did. 

“I’m so so sorry that I hurt you with my words. It’s the last thing I wanted from all of this. I’m sorry Deepti.”

The video on the caption read: ‘I’m sorry, @lifewithdeeps. I’m ready to take accountability for my actions and be better. While I’ve reached out privately, I think it’s also important I apologize publicly for the sake of your family and friends that I’ve upset as well.’

While reaching out to Deepti, the reality star adds,  “Deepti, I am truly sorry for some of the things that I said, things that honestly could have just been left unsaid, that could have been said differently, things that never should have been on national television.”

Deepti hasn’t responded to this public apology. We are guessing she is too busy working it out with her rumor beau Kyle Abrams!
