Will our brilliant street dancer continue her journey in the next season Netflix? When is Jiva season 2 coming out?

Netflix has released some of the best TV series in June 2021. Among the new releases, there is also a new TV series coming from South Africa. Jiva! hits Netflix today with sick dance moves and amazing African beats. Netflix has dropped a new video for the series that is now available to stream.

The first season of Jiva made its premiere on June 24, 2021. The energetic and uplifting story of Ntombi is also full of dilemmas, hardships and difficult decisions. There were lots of amazing dance choreographies in the show, making it quite hard for us just to sit and watch.

Now, the viewers are wondering when Jiva season 2 will arrive on the popular streaming platform.

Here’s the official synopsis of Jiva:

“A talented street dancer struggles while juggling the demands of a dead-end job, family responsibilities and a rocky love life. When she discovers a dance competition with a cash prize, she realizes that her moves could be the ticket out of her working-class neighbourhood in Durban. But first, she must overcome her fears, beat her rivals and sort out the chaos that is her family.”

The streaming giant has not commented about the show’s current status yet. As the series has just begun streaming on the platform, we might have to wait for a while to hear some news about it.

Netflix calculates the viewership counts and also analyzes the reaction of the audience. Considering this process, the series might get a cancellation as well. Though if we are being optimistic, the earlier date for another season would be Summer 2022.

The upbeat TV series starred lots of brilliant actors and actresses from South Africa. As of June 2021, we do not have any official information regarding the cast as Netflix has not announced a renewal for the show.

With that said, if Jiva! returns with another season, we will probably see Ntombi and her crew of dancers in the new episodes. Here are the faces we have seen in the first season:

In the first season of the Netflix Original series, Jiva took the viewers on a journey through Ntombi’s life. Full of dance sequences and familial matters, the South African series showed us the preparation process of our lovely protagonist and her crew of friends and dancers.

If the series continues, we will probably see how the dance competition will affect Ntombi and her friends.

As Jiva is waiting for a renewal we do not have a trailer for the second season. Provided that the show is confirmed and Jiva season 2 is on its way, the earlier possible date for a trailer would be mid-2022. That is of course, is just a guess.
