Friends series cast is reuniting for an extra installment, but is the Friends reunion coming to Netflix? Where can you watch it?

Friends is an iconic sitcom that first debuted in 1994. Even though we can consider it old, many people have been watching the series since its release. Friends still has worldwide popularity despite being released almost 30 years ago. As this is the case, the cast has come together once again to film a new installment. The Friends reunion is not going to be like a new episode in which actors play their old characters though. It’s going to be like a documentary where all the actors will be themselves and show us some behind-the-scenes footage. Consider it as a special episode, but not within the series.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to watch the Friends reunion on Netflix, as expected. They have not announced anything about it, and it’s unlikely that they will in the foreseeable future.

You can watch the special reunion episode exclusively on HBO Max when it is released. The release date lines up with the streaming platform’s first anniversary. Happy birthday, HBO Max!

“Follows the personal and professional lives of six twenty to thirty-something-year-old friends living in Manhattan.”

HBO Max is going to release the reunion special on May 27, 2021.

They were actually planning to release it earlier. However, the pandemic affected the production process of this episode, just like every major production. We could have been watching the reunion a year earlier but for the pandemic. Fortunately, it’s finally being released.
