Love, Death & Robots is an animated anthology that tells different stories in each episode. Mainly focused on sci-fi and a dystopic future, the series touches on social and historical topics as well. All the red-band scenes with gore, sex, blood, and violence give the series a unique vibe, too.

The animation technique of the series is different in every episode just like the storylines. Some episodes include highly realistic animations while others look like animes. Each episode offers a different experience for the viewers of Love, Death & Robots. The episodes are generally adapted from short stories.

You can think of this anthology as an animated Black Mirror, as both of those tell about similar topics with different storylines for each episode.

As the storyline is different for each episode, let alone the seasons, let us share the synopses of the two seasons.

Here’s Netflix’s description for the first season:

“Terrifying creatures, wicked surprises, and dark comedy converge in this NSFW anthology of animated stories presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher.”

And for the second season:

“From wild adventures on far-flung planets to unsettling encounters close to home: The Emmy-winning anthology returns with a crop of provocative tales.”

The crew and cast members of this NSFW anthology of Netflix are different for each episode. However, there are some permanent and accomplished members of the crew.
