How Many More Movies Will Be In the After Film Series? When Will They Release?

The franchise film series After is a young adult romantic film that has kept the fans hooked. It is inspired by the books of Anna Todd of the same name. Fans are really intrigued by the chemistry of Tessa and Hardin (Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin), who are popularly known as ‘Hessa’. Three films are already out there- After, After We Fell, and After We Collided. Another one is left, which is probably the final film of the series, After Ever Happy, which will be in theatres soon.

After is the first film of the series. It’s a 2019 American film by Jenny Gage. A young girl Tessa, played by Josephine Langford, falls in love with a boy named Hardin played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin. But, to her surprise, Hardin is carrying some dark secrets. Tessa and Hardin’s relationship soon became rocky, and she leaves for college.

This film was released way back on April 12th, 2019.

After We Collided

After We Collided is the second film of the series directed by Roger Kumble. It was released on October 23rd, 2021. The plot develops around Tessa and Hardin after the breakup. Tessa and Hardin loo forward to their new life in order to grow in their respective careers. But, in the middle of their life, both of them meet again and realize their long-lost love for each other. This film is now streaming on Netflix.

After We Fell

After We Fell is the third film of the series starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, directed by Castille Landon. This film was released on September 1st, 2021. Hardin and Tessa stayed together, and Tessa make some changes in her life and revealed some dark secrets to Hardin about her family. The future they build together is now quite impossible for them.

After Happy Ever

After Happy Ever, is the final film of the franchise inspired by Anna Todd’s novel. They proclaimed the film on September 30th, 2021. A dark past revelation will break Hardin’s heart, and Tessa suffers a tragedy. Their situation acts as a catalyst to shrink their relationship. But, after a shocking truth, the two of them realize they are not so different from each other.

The teaser was recently released. The good news for the fans is that the movie will hit theaters on September 7, 2022. Have a look at the teaser.

Fans don’t get too upset because a prequel and a next-generation sequel of the After franchise will be soon out. Castille Landon confirms, “He’s gone through a lot of traumas in his family life and in his relationships, and [we’ll] see more of that messiness before he meets Tessa, and how that experience changes him.”

But we can expect, especially in the prequel, Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin will not be there.
