As per a new report, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are about to join a star-studded lineup to host the 2025 ceremony.

This time, instead of having just one host, the Oscars are reportedly thinking about bringing in multiple stars. This format would include several appearances, stunts, and musical performances from the celebrities. And according to a report from Puck News, besides Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Amy Poehler, Dwayne Johnson, Will Ferrell, Cynthia Erivo, and Ariana Grande are among the names the Oscars have reached out to for this exciting idea.

In July, Jimmy Kimmel announced that he would not be returning to host the Oscars in 2025, leaving the hosting spot wide open. And since then, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been the most talked-about potential Oscar hosts. Earlier this year, an insider from In Touch Weekly claimed, "Hugh and Ryan- as a team- are at the top of the Oscars’ wish list". However, there might be a catch.

The same insider from In Touch Weekly pointed out, “Hugh and Ryan are major movie stars” and might therefore not come cheap. However, the Academy may just meet their financial demands, as Reynolds could deliver a “multimedia advertising bonanza”. 

The Academy knows that having Hugh Jackman and Reynolds on board would turn the awards show into global news once again. The insider estimated a “seven-figure payday” for this hosting pair while mentioning the natural talents these two stars bring to the table, saying, ”Like Hugh, Ryan has serious singing and dancing chops and isn’t afraid to make a fool of himself”. It is clear that Reynolds and Jackman could inject some serious charm into the Oscars like never before, and even the Oscar insiders know that.
