The post took Instagram by storm as within two hours it garnered a whopping 40,000 likes. Moreover, the comment section of the actor was filled with fans from around the world grieving the singer’s death. While the family did not disclose any specific cause of death, the singer had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in 2016.
Apart from Smith, a plethora of celebrities around the world expressed condolences on the death of the legendary singer. Not long ago, Sir Elton John led the tributes on social media. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton paid her respect to Bennett on Twitter.
