Penning down an emotional caption, Smith wrote, “Your life’s work was just fantastic, Tony. Thank you for sharing your gift!”

The post took Instagram by storm as within two hours it garnered a whopping 40,000 likes. Moreover, the comment section of the actor was filled with fans from around the world grieving the singer’s death. While the family did not disclose any specific cause of death, the singer had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in 2016.
