The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle definitely brought the house down with their last celebrations of Invictus. Having separated from his own family, the Duke had his Invictus family to make him feel at home. As much as the Duke enjoyed the company at Düsseldorf, the estranged Prince of Britain made sure he hit back what he had gone through. Before drawing the curtains on the 2023 season, Prince Harry made a savage mention of “uniforms“.  

The House of Windsor might have isolated the Prince, but the People’s Prince ensured he let them know he did not need them. 

Prince Harry spoke of how titles had nothing on him

Delivering the closing speech at the Grand Finale of Invictus 2023, Prince Harry spoke of a substance that instilled power and hope in the crowd. And as overwhelming as the last year’s, his words have had a tremendous effect both on his audience and the eagle-eyes royal fans keeping a tab on them online. Focussing on uniforms, the Duke started off by saying how diverse participants from various nations had an attachment to their own country’s outfit a couple of days ago. 

However, now, by the end of the Invictus Games, their new ensemble has given them a new meaning of life. Regardless, following that, he reminded his fellow veterans, saying, “You don’t need a uniform to rely on”. And whether or not they have one, they should not be bothered by it. The Prince believes formal validity does not have much to do since, “everything you need is already within you.”

That said, devout royal fans could know where it came from. However, for those unversed, Prince Harry just traced back his own story of being stripped of his royal titles and, thus, his uniforms. 

The royal family stripped the Duke of his royal designations

Back in 2020, Prince Harry and his newlywed wife, Meghan Markle, decided to step back as the senior working members of the royal family. They have proposed to work in affiliation with the Queen even after stepping down. However, after a furious discussion with Prince William, they realized it was either all out or all in for the couple. And the couple chose the former.

As a result, King Charles’ youngest gave up on his UK Sovereigns and flew across the Atlantic to settle down with his own family. At times when he visited the palace like during the funeral ceremony of late Queen Elizabeth II, he attended all the rituals in plain royal attires while others wore their title robes.
