Arnold Schwarzenegger plucks ideas from childhood lessons

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently graced the first episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, which returned to screen after five months. During the conversation, Kimmel pointed out that the actor was governor in 2007 when the Hollywood strike took place. Back then, Schwarzenegger spoke to WGA members and studio executives to help them reach a conclusion. To this, Kimmel asked if was it even the Governor’s job to bring both sides together. To this, he shared a trick of his father, hence telling why he did what he did back then.

In his response, the 76-year-old recalled his childhood and how his father used to lock him and his brother whenever they fought. “He says you can’t get out of here until you resolve the problem,” shared the FUBAR star. According to him, this was a great idea to resolve the strike too. He said that both the studio executives and the union leaders should be locked in until the negotiations get settled.

This way executives cannot go to their favorite places, nor the union leaders could go back home. Thus, both sides will make decisions quickly and the strike will come to an end in a few days. This moment came only days after the former governor talked about having a tough childhood with his father.

The Austrian Oak does not blame his dad for anything 

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a tough time while growing up and has shared memories of his dark past in recent years. But recently when he sat down with PEOPLE to promote his new book, he presented a new perspective about it. The father of five stated he never blamed his dad for things he did. He never wanted to be the victim and kept telling people, “It’s my father’s fault.”

Instead, he has always felt no one was to blame and has many happy memories with his dad. To him, he was just the man who did not know any better. So he just wants to cherish the things that helped him become the man he is now and impart all the lessons he learned from his childhood.
