Markle’s ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, the American producer, has also had a successful run in his life and career, after the split from a nine-year romance with Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle ‘crushed’ her ex-husband post the divorce

Daily Mail recently reported a follow-up on Markle’s ex-husband‘s whereabouts. The broken couple has seemingly moved on with their lives, but it was not as easy for them as it looked like. At least for Trevor Engelson. His friends, who recently opened up to the outlet, revealed they had been extremely careful around Engelson to get him out of the divorce trauma. “For a long time, things were difficult for Trevor,” said one of his associates. 

According to them, Engelson was quite decent but “Meghan crushed him” as she filed for the divorce. The entire chaos and publicity revolved around their split that distressed him. As he recovered from his split, everyone around him got a rule straight. “Everyone in Trevor’s life knows not to mention the ‘M’ word,” added the source. Nonetheless, after that dark phase, the sun shone the brightest on the filmmaker. 

The producer is currently living a life better than the Duchess, claimed his friends.

Currently bagging the latest deal with the American streamer, Engelson is working on a video game franchise adaptation. Video game enthusiasts would be excited to know that the producer is working on the Netflix Live-action adaptation of The Dragon’s Lair. 

The movie will reportedly cast the Deadpool star, Ryan Reynolds, as its lead character. Speaking to Collider for his then-upcoming musical, Spirited, last year, he revealed that the adaptation has got an innovative take on IP and it “intersects in a unique way with technology“. There have been no recent updates about the same.
