Wrexham’s latest fixture against Doncaster: a silver lining for Ryan Reynolds’ side

The oldest Welsh club recorded their third win after their latest victory against Doncaster at the Racecourse Ground. However, the Red Dragons surely gave the fans a run for their money. Similar to their fixture against Swindon Town, the latest match was no less than a rollercoaster. It was not until the very last minute that Wrexham clenched the victory as Elliot Lee scored a winner in the 88th minute. 

This victory comes after two previous draws, and Wrexham climbed the ladder as they jumped from thirteenth to seventh position in the league table. While the win was indeed huge for the Red Dragons, the fans also had another occasion to celebrate. Star striker Paul Mullin made his much-awaited comeback following an injury from the preseason friendlies. 

Meanwhile, owing to the club’s recent shenanigans, the victory has surely become special. Moreover, the timing of the victory could not be more perfect as the club’s documentary series will also be returning with an exciting new season very soon.

After an incredibly hit first season, Welcome To Wrexham is all set to grace our screens in a matter of days. The first episode of the second installment of the sports documentary series will be released worldwide on 12th September. Following that, the second episode will grace our screens within a week on 19th September.

Unsurprisingly, the fans are eager to witness the brand-new installment. Moreover, with the latest happenings such as the failed Luke Armstrong deal or Ben Foster’s shocking retirement, we are surely in for some top-class entertainment. It is safe to say that amidst the low moments fans have witnessed in the past few weeks, the documentary will act as a ray of hope for fans.
