While speaking of his initial experiments with X-men’s Wolverine, Hugh Jackman revealed the tit-bit fumbles that he had to put up with. In an interview with The New York Times, he revealed his agent surprisingly cut his three-movie deal to a two-picture deal, limiting his creative freedom. He was initially unaware of the change, but later understood the impact. Listening to which Ryan Reynolds joked, "I would've killed the agent,” if he were in Jackman's place.
The 55-year-old further explained that after his agent reduced a three-picture deal to two, he had the freedom to choose his projects. Hugh Jackman thus prioritized storytelling, and by the time he finished his character's arc, he felt he had reached the end of what he could offer. However, seeing the first Deadpool film changed his mind, and he found “another reason” to continue, leading to a new chapter in his career.
