Highlander is arguably one of the biggest sci-fi franchises of its time. Since its release, it has birthed several films, TV shows, and animated adaptations. However, none of them had the same impact on the audience as the original 1986 film. Apparently, the upcoming reboot will also draw inspiration from the original Christopher Lambert starrer. The story revolved around the never-ending battles of immortal warriors.

The upcoming reboot will cover the story on similar lines. While the exact details are not revealed, the tagline does give some insight suggesting, “There can be only one.” The Fast and the Furious producer Neal H. Moritz is one of the many producers of the film. Meanwhile, Highlander can surely be a gigantic project for the severely impacted AFM, whose business took a toll owing to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA protests in Hollywood.
