In recent years, the world has seen Prince Harry and Prince William go from being each other built-in best friends to not being on speaking terms. Although the younger brother may have added fuel to the fire with his revelations in Spare, it looks like their relationship is not completely past repair. While it is evident that they have their own issues to tackle, there is one thing that neither brother seems to want to give up just yet.
In fact, it is the one Christmas tradition that both the royals have faithfully followed since their public fallout years ago.

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke away from their royal responsibilities, they have been more forthcoming about the problems they faced in the British royal family. While that definitely threw a damper on their relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton, according to reports from the Mirror, the four are still following through with their gift policy. When the Sussex couple left, the four had decided to continue to exchange gifts for their children, no matter what.

Even though the brothers are going through a pretty rough patch right now, they have managed to put that aside to be there for their nieces and nephews. The news came shortly after royal experts claimed that the 41-year-old was done with his brother’s antics. However, with the tradition carrying on, there might just be some hope for a reconciliation left.
Although the tradition is being carried forward, it was recently revealed that the Sussex royals would not be invited to the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.

Over the last few years, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have skipped out on various royal family engagements. From the Suits star not attending the King’s coronation to the couple not making an appearance at King Charles’ 75 birthday, they have snubbed the monarch quite a few times. This time, it looks like the senior members of the family have chosen to not give them a choice and have them miss the yearly Christmas celebrations.

While it might be sad that the couple’s children will be missing out on festive fun with their cousins, at least they will not be left high and dry by their aunt and uncle, Kate Middleton and Prince William. Although the world can not wait to see the fab four back together, it looks like that may require some time as well as silence from the 49-year-old and his wife.
