Will Smith’s ‘I, Robot’ Throwback Picture Leaves Fans Thirsting for His Physique
After weeks of embarrassment from what happened at the 2022 Oscars, Will Smith is finally making a comeback. He has lined up three upcoming blockbusters, including I Am Legend 2, Bad Boys 4, and Fast and Loose. However, he is not only making a comeback in the movies but is also working hard towards getting back into shape. He tacked on a lot of weight during the quarantine phase, which he documented in his memoir. While the actor has been trying his best to get back in shape, fans flooded Twitter reacting to a resurfaced picture of Smith.
Recently, a Twitter page called the 2000s shared a picture of Will Smith from the 2004 American sci-fi, I, Robot. In the image, the Academy Award winner looked muscular and toned, leaving fans thirsting. The post received a whopping 495k views in just six hours with the caption “will Smith in ‘i, robot’, which was a $346 million grosser in the 2000s. The Golden Globe Award-winning actor, however, is not in the same shape as he was in his 30s. And this has left a deep impact on him, so much so that he even started to have suicidal thoughts.

Even Jada Smith took a jab at her husband’s wife when he started working with Margot Robbie in the 2015 film Focus. During its promotions, the Aladdin actor revealed how his wife urged him to work out to match the good looks and physique of the Barbie actress. Mrs. Smith was even afraid that her husband might embarrass her owing to his unfit body and went on to say, “Do not let that girl smash you onscreen”. It is safe to say that the body Smith had in I, Robot, is definitely hard to smash!
Fans couldn’t hold their excitement after seeing Smith’s sculpted body in the picture from the 2004 film. They took to Twitter to share various stickers and memes in response to the fan post.
Fans’ reaction to Will Smith flaunting his defined body
A year ago, Smith took to Instagram to share a post revealing his out-of-shape quarantine body. He also made a promise to get into the best shape of his life, sacrificing all the “midnight muffins”. The post was a teaser for a partnership between the Suicide Squad actor and YouTube that documented Smith’s fitness journey. The throwback picture on Twitter, however, featured Smith in his most physically impressive body that invited a lot of praise from fans. They did not just admire Smith’s body but also got inspired to hit the gym after seeing the post.
Many fans put up references from the Alex Proyas Sci-if action film. They shared memes and small video clips in response to the post.
People even talked about how underrated the 2004 movie was. They gave a big shout-out to the film’s attempt to try something unique.

However, there was negativity surrounding the post as well. Fans pointed out the fact that the Bad Boys actor is not in the same shape as before. Some even recalled the 2022 Oscar incident and said they could not stand with the actor after what happened!
