Will Smith and Martin Lawrence made the Bad Boys: Ride or Die premieres a buzz, leaving fans all ecstatic about the theatrical show. And now with another support to its vouch, the movie has earned a 98% Tomatometer Audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It seems the audience has indeed chosen the perfect ride to get over their summer lethargy and it is none other than with the Bad Boys themselves.

The Tomatometer has itself given a scorecard of 66% to the movie while IMDb called it a 6.7/10. Despite the average ratings, the audience’s approval has been abundant to prove otherwise. Moreover, as the movie will be outed in various nations over a spread timeline until July end, the reception score should heighten in the coming days. However, as far as the audience’s response goes, the movie has already attained a green flag.

Will Smith and Chris Rock may have sought a peace treaty since their infamous altercation at the 2022 Academy Awards, but reminders of the incident still haunt Smith. The latest reminder seems to flip the roles, with Smith experiencing a panic attack in Bad Boys: Ride or Die followed by a series of simultaneous slaps.

In this scene, Marcus (played by Lawrence), Mike's detective partner, helps him recover with a series of comedic slaps. For fans familiar with the 2022 Oscars slap-gate incident, this comedic moment may bring back memories, intensifying the sense of role reversal. Despite this, it is unlikely to affect the movie's reception, which already stands out as a highlight to the audience.
