Although most fans of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star did not expect the tell-all autobiography to amount too much, it seems to have crossed everyone’s expectations.

Recently, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been the center of every headline. While it was thanks to The Matrix star’s sudden truth-telling spree, it seems to have paid off. The Emancipation star took to his Instagram stories to congratulate the author of Worthy on the memoir becoming a New York Times Bestseller. After sharing a video from the Red Table Talk’s official page, he added the caption, “CONGRATS, MAMA! Big Looks.” 

The video featured a clip of Jada announcing that her tell-all memoir had an unanticipated outcome. She goes on to say that it was also #3 on the Bestsellers list. Although the unforeseen development in the popularity of Worthy came as a surprise to many fans of the actors, it was exactly what the talk show host had been hoping and praying for. In fact, she even seemed pretty confident about how well it would do before she started her book tour.

What is interesting to note is that it was not just her who wanted the memoir to do well. One of her old friends, rapper Fat Joe, wanted the same and even compared her memoir to the bestselling Spare by Prince Harry.

Ahead of the release of Worthy, Jada Pinkett Smith had popped in to see an old friend. She had gone to UP NYC, Joe’s sneaker store, just to catch up with him. After a bit of chatting and exchanging gifts, they dove right into her revelations in the book. They spoke about her separation from Will Smith and her love for her childhood friend, Tupac. However, that was not all. In a video uploaded to Instagram, the musician could be heard saying that her memoir should “sell like Prince Harry.”

While no one took it seriously at the time, Jada Pinkett Smith seems to have outdone herself. After Worthy came out on October 17th, it climbed its way up the Bestsellers list. Although there is a possibility that her bombshell book could outsell the Duke, fans will have to wait and see how that ends up playing out.
