One of which was Men in Black II, released in 2002. The sci-fi franchise made earnings of $441.8 million at the box office. His I, Robot movie, also a sci-fi, which was released in 2004, made a profit of $114.8 million. He lent his voice to the animated movie Shark Tale, which made earned $374.6 million.
Then came the romantic comedy Hitch, released in 2005, alongside Kevin James, making a gross profit of $371.6 million. The emotional and motivational superhit of 2006, The Pursuit of Happyness made a profit of $162.6 million. It was followed by the 2007 post-apocalyptic movie I Am Legend, which made $585.5 million in profits. His 2008 Hancock movie profited with $227.9 million.

The Bad Boys franchise also makes one of his most successful ones, with the second part earning $273.3 million in 2003.
The actor has multiple movies queued up after the failure of the Emancipation
The slap gate incident certainly affected Will Smith’s record with movies. The 2022 movie Emancipation, which was released just after that incident, made a profit of $100 million domestically and $216 internationally. While it crossed its millionaire mark, it did not prove to be profitable against its budget of $12o million. With his popularity seeing a rise again now, there are movies queued up. It includes the latest part of his cop-buddy franchise, the Bad Boys 4, along with co-star Martin Lawrence.
