While walking through Zurich, the Bad Boys actor found himself in a real-life situation reminiscent of the post-apocalyptic world of I Am Legend, as opposed to just the fictional setting of his film.

Will Smith recently took to the streets of Zurich in Switzerland during the early morning hours, which made him feel like he had been dropped into the world of I Am Legend. In an Instagram reel, the actor described how his early morning stroll through the city gave him a flashback to the 2007 post-apocalyptic blockbuster, as he encountered an eerily deserted urban landscape.

Smith explained that he was in Zurich because his plane could not take off. While the reasons for his unexpected stay in Europe are not entirely clear, he did confirm that he needed to spend the night. The Hancock star noted that the silence was so profound that the loudest noise he heard was from a particularly noisy crow he attempted to quiet. However, his excitement peaked when he geeked out after spotting a renowned Swiss team, causing his enthusiasm to shine through.

While the empty streets of Zurich gave Smith a taste of the I Am Legend world, he will need to prepare himself thoroughly to fully embrace that mindset as the sequel gets underway, with Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan teaming up with him with peaking anticipation.

In June, Michael B. Jordan spoke to PEOPLE about his collaboration with Propel Fitness Water on the Propel Your City Project and expressed his enthusiasm for working with Will Smith as a co-star in I Am Legend 2. The sequel to Smith's 2007 film was first announced in March 2022, with both Smith and Jordan set to star. Jordan described the project as "something that is in the works" and noted that the team is currently focused on perfecting the script to match the quality of the original movie. 

Smith during a chat with Entertainment Tonight in May also gave a peek into the sequel plans. While there are no confirmed release dates or filming schedules yet, Jordan shared his excitement about the opportunity to work with Smith, whom he has admired for a long time. Now with Smith nearly prepared for the sequel and Jordan ready to give it his all, all that remains is for fans to experience the dynamic duo in action.
