Will Smith Asserts Dominance Over Multiple Iconic Projects, as ‘Bad Boys’ Takes Over HBO Charts
Navigating the movie business is no piece of cake, however, Will Smith, ever the Fresh Prince, has been eating it up for decades now. Minus the years of brilliance he served as a rapper, Smith has been flourishing as an actor since the mid-1980s. Despite the shocking hiccup that led to his ten-year ban from the Oscar award ceremony, the actor still has still jiggy wit' it and reigned supreme with Bad Boys: Ride or Die being the biggest proof.
The fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise proved that Will Smith has still got it as he once again attracted the audiences to the theaters. However, it seems that his charm has only gotten savvier than per HBO's streaming census.

Often credited as one of the first celebrities to identify social media as the gold mine that is, Will Smith has a knack for making trending posts. This also stood true as Bad Boys: Ride or Die made its way to the stream after a successful run at the box office. As of September 25, Bad Boys: Ride or Die stands as the #1 movie on HBO surpassing the likes of The Watchers, Beetlejuice, and The Batman.
Given that he was called Mr July at one point in time owing to the blockbuster success, he guaranteed when a movie of his, was released in July, so it did not come as a surprise that Smith delivered magic at the theatres. However, that he managed to win at the streamers as well, despite having a hesitant 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, definitely came as a shocker.
While Smith may have turned the tides with Bad Boys: Ride or Die, it did not come without a salvation period and the tanking of a project that he had poured his heart into.

What could otherwise have been two hits in a row, with Will Smith having the Best Actor Award at the Oscars for the first time in his decades spanning career, turned out to among the least rated movies of all time. Owing to the echo of the slap not having died down, Emancipation failed to generate any hype as it landed on Apple+.
The movie required Smith to undergo a vigorous transformation as he stepped into the shoes of a slave and promised a torturous yet ultimately liberating experience. However, all the promises fell flat on the audience which was enraged by his Oscar stunt. As Bad Boys: Ride or Die climbs up the ladder, it seems that all wounds heal with time, even if they burn an estimated $120 million hole in Apple+'s pockets.
