Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have always known the code to strike gold at the box office. This resulted in the million-dollar success of the Bad Boys franchise, which will now better be remembered as the franchise that successfully managed to bring back Will Smith post his Oscar debacle. More specifically, the fourth movie, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, proved that the actor's title of the box office king remains intact.

While the actor has reclaimed a territory that was earlier considered his turf, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are also moving towards streaming platforms with Bad Boys: Ride or Die.

Following the debacle that was his Oscar slapgate, Will Smith tried his hand at both the box office and digital conquering with the dramatic Emancipation. However, his previous attempt fell flat at both. Now, as Martin Lawrence and Will Smith checked box office success with their list, they are moving to digital streaming on July 23 via premium video on demand as per When to Stream.

While the release date has been decided for Bad Boys: Ride or Die's digital entry, which streaming service has managed to get its hands on this blockbuster remains to be seen. In any case, given how the movie raked in a startling $365 million at the theaters, it will not be a hassle for any streaming service to rake in views.

Although the movie has raked in big numbers, whether it has done equally well with critics is a whole other question that will gain momentum now that it plans to be released digitally.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die managed to garner a collection that could parallel the Barbenheimer hype without actually incorporating the exuberant marketing strategies that last year's winners did. However, this was only the case with its box office collection. The critics' review, although not bad, is not stunning. This is also evident in the 65% Tomatometer rating alongside the 97% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Digital streaming, however, is the land where every dog has its day, with even the most catastrophic flops of the box office managing to find themselves on the trending charts. While this could be good news for Bad Boys: Ride or Die, it also happens that digital streaming is the place where box office hits get torn to shreds by movie critics. Whether Bad Boys: Ride or Die manages to create as much of an impact digitally as it did at the box office will soon be clear when the movie makes its way on July 23.
