Marking his charismatic walk down the red carpet for the Argylle world premiere in London, Henry Cavill landed alongside his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso. Taking his time off to greet the fans and answer a burning question, The Man of Steel star walked up to the host, who pitched him the perfect question. Replying to what his younger self would have felt on playing the super spy, the British actor cheekily responded with, “Why the haircut?” before expanding on it.

Dressed in a fitting Kingsman-esque shirt and jacket, Henry Cavill explained the reason “because Matthew Vaughn told me it’s iconic”. After facing a considerable amount of questions on his rather odd and highly debated hairstyle, both the actor and the director have stated the decision to be based on a factor of memorability. By opting for a style unseen before, Cavill’s Agent Argylle can easily stand out among the crowd of similar super-spies like James Bond.

Following a meta approach, Argylle sets itself apart from the traditional spy-action trope. The brainchild of Matthew Vaughn, the flick will follow a reclusive author named Elly Conway around the globe as she tries to understand how and why her novel’s characters have started to surround her in reality. Carrying the film on his shoulders, the leading role by Cavill will mark his debut in at least a trilogy of films in the franchise which will eventually tie with the Kingsman franchise.

Speaking on his recent filming experience, the actor also expanded on working alongside Dua Lipa, who will be making her full-length movie debut.

Playing LaGrange, Dua Lipa will have some sort of antagonistic role with Henry Cavill’s character, judging by the movie’s trailers. Moreover, while the singer received a brief cameo in Barbie, she will mark her proper debut as an actress in Argylle while also working to lend its theme song and an original score. Sharing the screens with her for the first time, the 40-year-old actor stated that he “would work with her again in a heartbeat”.

The remarks came close on the heels of him spilling the beans on Taylor Swift being Elly Conway. Finally, the current London red carpet premiere as a whole came close after a recent one in Seoul. In terms of updates, the movie received a nudge in its dates with Argylle now dropping in the UK on the 1st of February and on the 2nd of February, as usual, in the US.
