Why Is Millie Bobby Brown Not on X? Here’s the Disappointing Reason
In the digital age, social distance has shrunk to the point where the unreachable now feel like the neighbor borrowing sugar. Hollywood A-listers often hop into the limelight for casually chatting with fans online, but not everyone sits well with digital mingling, and case in point is Millie Bobby Brown. Although she is active on Instagram, she has drawn her virtual boundary right there, steering clear of X.
As for why she is missing in action on X? The reason is less glitzy than fans would expect.

Millie Bobby Brown waved farewell to X as early as 2018 following her, becoming the subject of a series of problematic memes on gender and orientation. X users and trollers added “quotes” onto her pictures and photoshopped her into memes to manipulate the world into believing the hate messages were coming from her end. It is largely speculated that she hit the delete button on her handle following the online trolling.
Despite the relentless barrage of false accusations, some trolls tried to brush it off as satire. But with the damage already done, Brown was not there for the excuses. The hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown made its unwelcome debut in November and dared to resurface during Pride Month. A staunch LGBTQ+ ally, Brown allegedly found this tasteless trend too much to bear, prompting her exit from X.
Brown’s exit from social media because of online trolls is not exactly an isolated case. However, it turns out the actor did not exactly pull a Houdini on X because she reportedly has another account.

It is believed far and wide that despite deactivating her account on X, Millie Bobby Brown is a silent observer on X with a secondary account by the user Milliestopshate. Although the account was made primarily to spread “love and positivity,” even on that account, there have been no posts since 2019. The user bio aims to “stop bullying,” serving as a direct counter to the reason she left the platform in the first place.
The account has several posts from 2017 but surprisingly has none following the online trolling incident of Brown. Whether she vanished from that handle to dodge trolls, much like her exit from her main account, is anyone’s guess. But one thing is clear she is just another star caught in the unkind orbit of social media’s ever-spinning merciless radar.
