Akin to every royal function, the wedding was meticulously planned. More so because Meghan Markle and Prince Harry played a huge role in the arrangements. But for a wedding where every outfit was ensured to be couture, and every flower held symbolism, fans found it weird that there was no bouquet tossing ceremony. However, what an unversed would contribute to Meghan Markle’s supposed laziness, it is actually a result of her devotion to the crown. The Sussex couple followed the age-old tradition of honoring a soldier with the wedding bouquet of a royal bride.

It would have been quite an entertaining watch to see who in the room of Priyanka Chopra and Sarah Rafferty would have caught the wedding bouquet. However, saving everyone the hassle and herself the title of a traitor, Markle opted to spread her bouquet of white garden roses at a soldier’s grave.
