Why Did Husky Bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger Go to Ballet Lessons?
Arnold Schwarzenegger always proves why he is a bigger man, and not just physically. The bodybuilder has been an inspiration for generations, having started his career with bodybuilding, and thereby penetrating into several fields. But what makes the former Governor of California special is his not being afraid to do the odd, if that helps him be better.
The Austrian Oak holds a record for winning the Olympia award about seven times. But becoming a record holder takes more than going to the gym and taking supplies. In Schwarzenegger’s case, what helped him was something most men still would not do, and he had a good reason for doing so too.

Arnold Schwarzenegger may politically be a conservative, but his thoughts were more modern than most, even during his career as a bodybuilder. A Redditor recently dug out an old photo of the former bodybuilder from 1977, where he could be seen bare-chested, and muscular as ever, giving a rather elegant pose. He reportedly hired a dancer named Marianne Claire to teach him ballet lessons. But the purpose was not to learn the art form but to apply it during his bodybuilding competitions.
Apparently, it helped him pose better during the shows, adding a smooth movement to his muscular body. A skill never goes wasted, and his lessons proved helpful even while choreographing action scenes when he was new in the industry. The actor always believed that bodybuilding was an art and one needs to treat it that way. He would take classes for half an hour to an hour, twice a day, to gain confidence and move smoothly.
Even today, his message on workouts and discipline inspires people globally.
How the living legend spreads the message of fitness today
Being a 75-year-old does not stop the Terminator actor from working out or helping people. He trained himself technologically and would send positive messages to fans through video calls. He then began a newsletter and a full-fledged website called The Pump Club, to discuss both mental and physical fitness, for people of all ages.

He also left his ‘meaty’ ways behind and eats a mostly vegan diet today. As for ballet, we are yet to see him perform that, but he did Tango in True Lies. Schwarzenegger’s ballet dancing video only shows his willingness to do what is needed without caring about public opinion.
