Friends has seen many cameos and special appearances throughout its run of ten seasons, which added to the sparkle of this iconic sitcom. While some guests were already big names, driving episodes to peak TRP ratings, others rose to fame after their brief stint on the show. However, some cameo actors did not blow up from the show but shone in some of the most memorable episodes. For example, the stripper, who turned out to be a hooker in the eighth episode of the eighth season.

Who was the hooker that ruined Chandler’s bachelorette in Friends?

Jackie Debatin is an American actress who played the Stripper in the hit NBC comedy series. The actress primarily resides in  NYC and has featured in comedies like Mr P’s Dancing Sushi Bar and Sparkler. She has also been a part of several sitcoms, including Brutally Normal and The Weber Show. However, Friends is not the only show where she played a stripper or a hooker. 

The actress has played a stripper in The Office, a lap dancer in Two and a Half Men, a stripper in That 70’s Show, and a hooker in Boston Legal. Though she did not achieve significant fame from these shows, fans still recognize her as the stripper from The Office on the street, as per the office wiki. When Debatin is not acting, she runs her accounting firm, responsible for handling entertainment and corporate financing and tax consulting. 

Notably, Debatin was not the only stripper in Friends. There was another stripper on the show in the final season, who even received an Emmy nomination as a guest star. 

The other stripper in the NBC sitcom 

Chandler Bing missed out on his bachelor party, but Phoebe Buffay got it right on time. Due to the last-minute arrangement, the stripper fell short of Buffay’s expectations. Danny DeVito took on the role of Roy and arrived in Phoebe Buffay’s bachelorette as the “Officer Goodbody”. However, his age and physicality did not appeal to the women, and Buffay could not even hide her cringe during his striptease. 

Though the girls did not like the stripper initially, they have a change of heart after seeing him upset and eventually end up having a blast. The episode was not only sweet and funny but is also remembered as being one of the best celebrity appearances in sitcom history. DeVito was already popular by the time he appeared on Friends, with movies like Twins alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, and therefore, his cameo turned out to become more memorable than ever predicted.
