The best moments of the NBC sitcom Friends unfold in the two shared apartments of the group. While technically every character had lived in both apartments at some point in the series, the OG roommates were always Monica-Rachel and Chandler-Joey. Following Monica and Chandler’s decision to move in together, the OG roommates split. While it was new for Monica and Rachel, Chandler and Joey had already experienced living apart by the second season.

Chandler and Joey, played by Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc, decided to separate in the second season after Joey became a star in Days of Our Lives. This paved the way for Chandler’s crazy roommate, Eddie Menuek, who gave some of the most hilarious episodes on the show.

Eddie Menuek’s character in Friends was played by Adam Goldberg who is an American actor, filmmaker, musician, and photographer. Some of the best work of Goldberg was in movies like Saving Private Ryan, A Beautiful Mind, and Zodiac. He appeared in three episodes of Friends in the second season. Fans were first introduced to Eddie in The One Where Eddie Moves In after Chandler and Joey had a fallout. Initially, Eddie appeared to get along well with Chandler, but soon Chandler realized his roommate was a bit unhinged.

Eddie accused Chandler of having an affair with his ex after she visited Chandler’s apartment to return Eddie’s fish tank. He even stuffed a live fish in his pocket following the altercation with Chandler. This was followed by some more shocking revelations for Chandler, including the fact that Eddie watched him while he slept. Despite Chandler repeatedly asking him to leave, Eddie obliviously kept returning to the apartment. Many fans still believe that Eddie was schizophrenic and was dealing with mental health issues.
