“Who is there?” – 2-Times Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Feels He Has It in Him to be the Next President
Arnold Schwarzenegger may be Austrian-born, but he is a true American at heart. He has proven this numerous times in the past. But the hallmark of this was his serving two terms as the Governor of California state. While he seems to have retired from his political career, his ambitions are still alive and kicking. Adding to that is his natural inclination towards helping people and the way he charms people even today. When you put 1 and 1 together, you have presidential material—or so thinks Schwarzenegger.
The Austrian Oak has a lot of confidence in himself. So much so that he believes he can win the 2024 presidential elections if he were given the chance to run. He shared his political ambitions during his recent appearance at Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? The host was quick to ask him if he would participate in the 2024 elections if he were allowed to do so. Schwarzenegger’s answer was a “yes, of course.” But there was no hesitation behind words for a reason.
“I mean, who is there? There is really not a person that can bring everyone together,” said Schwarzenegger, as per a video shared with People.

With his statement, the former Governor was alluding to the fact that in the current political scenario, it’s either left or right wing and voting has become about whom to vote against instead of whom to vote for. Thus, he feels this is the right time to have someone that can bring everyone together. But does he think he will win?
“Absolutely,” was the answer from the Austrian’s mouth. He feels it’s a no-brainer when it comes to allowing him to contest and eventually win. Now, that’s some confidence. It is a shame that he cannot participate due to constitutional rules.
Why can’t Arnold Schwarzenegger run for president?

There is no doubt Arnold Schwarzenegger loves America. He has been a citizen of the country since 1983. In fact, when he got his citizenship, he draped himself in the American flag to show his dedication to and adoration for the nation. But despite his time in the States, experience in politics, and love for the country, he cannot become a US president nor run for it.
As per the eligibility criteria for the presidential candidate, one needs to have been born in the US. Known as the Austrian Oak, Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria, and immigrated to the States at the age of 21. This makes him, unfortunately, unqualified for the run. Had he been a US-born citizen, there is no doubt he would have won the election, given the love and trust he has amassed by the public.
