Rupert Murdoch, an Australian-born media entrepreneur, has built a vast journalism empire across the West. From humble beginnings as an editor at London's Daily Express, he founded News Corporation, acquiring numerous newspapers, tabloids, news channels, and publishing houses. His success stems from sensationalizing current affairs, focusing on crime, sex, and scandal. His notable acquisitions include British newspapers News of the World, The Sun, and The Times, as well as American tabloids like the New York Post.

Murdoch's media conglomerate dominates both American and British journalism. However, his power has been marred by controversy. In the early 2000s, News Corporation faced intense scrutiny for illegally hacking into phone calls and emails of celebrities, crime victims, and even aggrieved countrymen. This scandal has led to high-profile cases, including Hugh Grant, Prince Harry, and the royal family's legal battles against Murdoch's companies. His struggles have put a question mark on the responsibility that comes with immense media power.
