Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life tells readers about things that can help them grow as human beings. The Terminator actor has been promoting his book in late-night show interviews and at famous bookstores to extend its reach to people around the globe.

But taking a moment from his busy schedule, the actor recently measured the success of his book with Krampus. Do you know what this term is all about?

It is by far no secret Arnold Schwarzenegger always remains connected to his fandom through social media. Likewise, the former governor took to X, formerly Twitter, and reacted to one fan’s tweet. The user shared a screenshot of his book Be Useful and wrote The Austrians sure have a way with child-rearing”. In his response, he replied, “If my book teaches Americans about Krampus, it’s a success. Thanks for reading!”.

The chapter narrated his childhood events and the methods Austrians used to employ to discipline their children. In his memoir, the 76-year-old recounted the fable book Der Struwwelpeter, which was famous during his childhood. The book contained ten stories about the negative impact misbehaving children can have on others’ lives. Also, when St. Nicholas visited homes of good kids, with gifts during Christmas, he also “brings a demon-like figure called Krampus” read the chapter.

This creature used to punish bad kids with his huge horns and teach them a lesson. So to scare naughty children, people in his village used to go to other people’s houses wearing masks. Schwarzenegger also revealed that he became the target of Krampus feigned by their downstairs neighbor. His dad, who was strict with him, also became that monster several times for other village kids.

Notably, it was things that he learned from his dad that ended up being in the book. However, his dad wasn’t the only teacher that led to Be Useful.

The fan, who posted pictures of his favorite books written by the 76-year-old, was eager to read Be Useful. So, replying to that tweet, the actor revealed he learned most of the lessons about his latest book in the gym. This might not be surprising because he has spent a good part of his life winning titles in bodybuilding and has learned plenty of lessons from that experience.

The new book is an essential summary of his life experiences and dives deep into his childhood that shaped his successful future. The superstar has shown his unwavering love for the gym by lifting weights despite undergoing elbow surgery. Therefore, gym definitely takes first place in his life whether he is acting, writing, or doing social work.
