Back in 2018, Meghan Markle and the late Queen Elizabeth went in for their first-ever solo trip to Chester. The visit served as a life-changing visit for the Duchess since it was the first time she appeared with the Sovereign as a member of the House of Windsor. In fact, an ecstatic fan handed over the Queen a bouquet of flowers to give to Meghan Markle as he kept lauding the Duchess. 

The Queen did appear a bit taken aback by the same gesture by the fan. However, internet users are all for how Markle was already winning hearts in the UK since Day 1.

Reacting to the video, hundreds of fans have showered their support for both the royal women. Many even cleared the infamous misconception about the kingdom’s indifference to the Duchess. “This idea that Markle is hated by everyone is sci-fi,” wrote a fan. According to the user, it’s mostly the older generation having difficulties in adapting to drastic changes as such. “A lot of young people like her,” they wrote. 

Nevertheless, little did anyone realize that this was the beginning of the end. Prince Harry and his wife had a hard time while staying in the UK for all the tabloid controversies and backlashes. At last, they played the hard ball and called it quits with the Palace.
