In the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, there are a few celebrity encounters that leave fans speechless. From moments with children to advice for their supporters, they have managed to do it all. One of those celebrities has been Jennifer Aniston. Apart from just giving her close friends some of her top-secret wellness tips, the 55-year-old once gave a Howard Stern staffer advice on a rather surprising matter.
16 years after her run on NBC’s 90s sitcom, Friends, Aniston ended up sharing some of her insider advice about a recreational drug that someone was trying for the very first time.

Back in 2020, Jennifer Aniston went on The Howard Stern Show to talk about how far she had come since the beginning of her career. During the conversation, the host ended up asking the actress to help him out and give his staffer, JD Harmeyer, some advice on smoking cannabis for the first time. After asking him a couple of questions about himself, she advised him, “Just pace yourself.”
Aniston then asked Harmeyer how he planned on ingesting it. However, he did not have an answer back then. While the question might have caught the actress and her fans a little off guard, it wasn’t a random question since she had been more than vocal about her support for cannabis for years by then. The Friends star had even almost tanked her career after opening up about how much she enjoyed unwinding with it.
Notably, actress’ loved ones worried about getting backlash for speaking out in support of the recreational substance. However, that did not seem to affect her in the least.

In 2001, Jennifer Aniston decided to share a new side of herself with the world. She revealed in an old interview that she enjoyed smoking cannabis “in moderation”. The actress even added that she saw “nothing wrong” with the way she had chosen to relax. While she seemed firm in her decision to reveal her true self, there was a chance that it could have potentially damaged her career.
With the actress being one of the most adored sitcom stars on the rise, people around her feared that her revelation could bring a sudden halt to her career. However, after cannabis use became legalized in 24 states across the USA, that concern ended up being put to bed. Later, however, Aniston revealed that she gave up smoking the recreational drug just 10 years after her confession.
