However, she did not stick to the conventional route of using her name or royal title for the handle.

Meghan Markle’s new brand is named American Riviera Orchard. While the brand’s name might not scream its significance, it holds a special meaning for the Duchess. American Riviera Orchard appears to give a nod to Santa Barbara, the California town where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reside with their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Santa Barbara is often referred to as the American Riviera by locals, so it is a clever little reference.
The locals call it by this name mainly because of the balmy climate and breathtaking scenery, much like that of the northern Mediterranean coast, better known as the Riviera. Markle’s latest project also flaunted a logo bearing “Montecito“. As for why the Duchess threw an “Orchard” into the name, it is still a mystery. However, her first social media share did drop a few breadcrumbs.
Markle dropped a video on her handle, leaving room for plenty of speculation regarding what it might be all about.

The brand’s launch featured an Instagram story where Meghan Markle was seen arranging flowers in her Montecito kitchen and striking poses in a black ballgown. The video was accompanied by Nancy Wilson’s ‘I Wish You Love.’ Markle’s first social media activity since 2020. The announcement of American Riviera Orchard came through nine Instagram posts that revealed the brand’s lavish logo and crest. The video dropped some hints suggesting that the brand will focus on all things homey and comfy.
Sources told Page Six that the brand will cover an array of goods. This included cookbooks, tableware, linens, and a variety of spreads and preserves. Also, an international registration application included items such as stationery, textiles, string bags, yoga gear, and some pet-related products. With the looks of it, the new brand seems to be a 2.0 version of the now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig.
