One of the core romantic entanglements of the show focused on the narrative of Ross and Rachel. But before reaching their union, like any other couple, they too underwent the seasons of heartbreak. As the crux of one reason for the pair’s premature split, Angela Featherstone came in to play Chloe in the third season of The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break to turn up the background laughter score of Friends. She was working at a copy store in Manhattan.

Yet, having been a fan-favorite pair from the show, more than the laughter, the biggest takeaway was the built-up tension that spread its goosebumps till the last. Chloe’s entry was A1 controversial for Ross and Rachel’s relationship besides the infidelity as it also led to the former’s iconic statement “We were on a break”. Although a segment of the populace might still break out defending Rachel or Ross even today, for Friends fans, this episode became the key to Ross and Rachel’s delayed merge.
