In his latest interview with Today’s Hoda and Jenna, Caleb McLaughlin spilled many details about his new film. From spending time with this legendary basketball player to again stepping into the 90s world, the actor revealed it all. The 21-year-old talked about the movie which is set in the early days of James’ life and him playing his high school BFF.

According to the details spilled by the hosts, this movie falls in a similar era in which he has already worked before. Since Stranger Things took viewers back to 1983, paying homage to the movies, music, gadgets, and books of the time. Likewise, this movie is set one decade after it brought back the rich history of basketball on the small screen.
Not only nostalgia is common here, but the actor felt the environment on the sets was the same.

During the same interview, he was asked how he kept himself grounded after Stranger Things brought the cast to the limelight. In his response, the actor stated that surrounding yourself with people who support you and keeping your mind stable is the way to stay humble. Moreover, Caleb McLaughlin compared the company he got in both his show and LeBron James’ film.
He said that just like the supernatural drama set, he had the support of the NBA player and their team. According to the young actor, people will get to see the bond in the movie also because what they had was all real. Unfortunately, this film has received much criticism from fans who did not find the whole story convincing ahead of the release. But you can be the judge of that when Shooting Stars hit the screens on June 2.
