As the tales about how Hollywood is a constantly shifting plate of power dynamics become more popular, Zendaya remains a rare case as she currently stands in a race against time and big-name franchises. Having become a household name not just on the silver screen but also the big screens with Dune and Spider-Man franchises, the actress is leaving creators breathless with every turn she takes. This is especially true for her next Marvel movie, where she is apparently doomed if she does show up and doomed if she does not.

As news began swirling about Zendaya's return for Spider-Man 4 curtsy of trusted scoop account, MyTimeToShineHello on X, audiences who were already clearing space for Sydney Sweeney as Gwen Stacy were not in cahoots with the mini Euphoria reunion in Marvel. And if Marvel does make room for both MJ and Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 4, with such splendid actresses taking on the roles, the question remains if it will still be a Spider-'Man' movie.

The upcoming Spider-Man movie, or any Marvel movie for that matter, is immensely crucial to set the stage for the next phase and to prove that Deadpool & Wolverine was not a onetime wonder. However, with confusion surrounding the superhero flick being at an all-time high, the plot already remains in jeopardy.

Sydney Sweeney’s Jam-Packed Schedule to Continue in 2025 as ‘Euphoria’ Gets a Promising Update

With Zendaya's return yet to be officially confirmed and the uproar for Sydney Sweeney as Gwen Stacy being at an all-time high, the Internet is already in shambles over the upcoming Spider-Man movie.

Fans split between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney for Spider-Man 4

Zendaya will have to quite literally stretch herself thin to be a part of both Spider-Man 4 and Dune 3 if the scheduled time frames of the two movies are anything to go by. While her plot is immensely important for both movies, the recent outcry of "what about Sydney Sweeney?" character gives room for wiggle.

With the upcoming movie being set in college and MJ having no memory whatsoever of a Peter Parker, writing in a Gwen Stacy arc would not be a difficult task. However, fans are not resting until they get a confirmation.

The cherry on top of the entire ordeal, ironically, remains that neither Zendaya nor Sydney Sweeney's appearance in the movie has been officially confirmed. Heck if they had the chance, fans would even swap Tom Holland for Andrew Garfield for a movie or two. It seems that despite being a rare case, Zendaya too is not immune to the constantly shifting tectonic plates of Hollywood.
