Henry Cavill lost the role of Superman in December 2022. But his fans continued to be hopeful that he might take back his cape or that new DC CEOs will change their minds. Sadly, nothing turned out the same fans wanted for their beloved superstar and David Corenswet officially replaced the actor as the new and ‘young’ red-cape superhero in July. With this announcement, fans accepted the fact that they will never see him in that legendary costume. However, one superhero fan has expressed why it is better Cavill is not Superman anymore and is replaced by Corenswet.

A fan that goes by the name of ClarkQuill97 recently took to X to express his views about David Corenswet taking over the duties of Superman from the beloved Witcher. The post mentioned the names of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, who were the brainchild of this iconic character. Through this, the fan tried to connect the origin of these creators with the new cast and stated that they both are Jewish.

According to him, this religious connection is a cherry on the cake as Superman, as the character is “connected to Jewish people and their experience.” Corenswet will be the first Jewish actor to represent this cultural icon. As rightly pointed by the user, “representation always matters” so fans will now have to wait and see what the House of Cards star will bring to Clark Kent.

While fans wonder what the director has stored in the box for them except for a younger version of the superhero, fans are happy to know about this Jewish connection and are all in for the same.

Fans move on from Henry Cavill to David Corenswet 

Seeing this post, many fans jumped into the comment section to present their thought about the same idea. Many said that this representation would be amazing because Corenswet can resonate with the story more closely. They are happy that the Jewish roots of the character might finally get the recognition it deserved.

However, some thought these connections have nothing to do with the superhero because he is an alien, actually. So the new movie should focus more on the storyline and depth of character.

Meanwhile, fans will have to wait to know more about the character and see Gunn’s vision take form on the silver scree.
