Weeks After Designing A Levery for a $1,500,000 Car, Jaden Smith Graces the London Formula E Race

Like father, Like son, Jaden Smith is living up to the legacy of his father Will Smith, and is at the top of his game with his proficiency in multiple fields. He brought in bucks with his collaboration of MSFTs with Samsung and the new summer store collection, also known as Summer Trippy Store. While he loves environmentally-conscious clothing and MSFTSrep is proof of it, he also has a fascination with formula racing.
The rapper was seen with the racetrack legend Lewis Hamilton at the Louis Vuitton fashion show. This synergy gave birth to the unique GEN3 design for E-Prix. And now, the ‘Icon’ creator has yet again put his love for the sport on display, through an Instagram post.

The 25-year-old rapper took to Instagram to share a video of him enjoying a race at the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in London. In the video, Smith’s eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store as he smiled at the camera, owing to his deep love for Formula E. His admiration for FE is also by reason of their common interests in diversity and sustainable initiatives. The Karate Kid star made appearances in previous Formula E matches as well.
He became a loyalist ever since he attended the first Formula E race in New York last season, and there was no going back. He decided to bring this love up a level, and also did his first collaboration with the all-electric Formula E racing series!

The fashion designer dripped his hands into designing the fastest Formula E race car, GEN3 at the Southwire Portland E-Prix. Executed flawlessly, this collaboration resulted in a very unique yet creative custom-made livery. The car was open for the fans to witness at Formula E Allianz Fan Village at Portland International Raceway and was valued at $1,500,000.

The After Earth star revealed that the design of this car was very personal to him. It reflects his passion for art, history, mathematics, physics, and scholarship, making it special for him. In an interview with Acrofan Smith said, “I have such a connection with Formula E. I absolutely loved coming back for my second E-Prix, even more, being able to design my own GEN3 livery.” It will be interesting to see how Smith will bring his artistic prowess to FE in the future.
